Watch out for those hidden cameras!

I once learnt a very valuable lesson from my guru, Swami Tejomayananda.

He explained that just as our outer lives are regulated by governmental, societal and other laws, our inner lives are governed by an unseen intelligence. It witnesses every thought, word and deed that we do. He gave an example of  the hidden cameras at traffic lights. We may think no one saw us run a red light, but the camera did! The penalty will surely come to us.

He joked that God has many ‘spies’ that are watching our every move. They are called chitragupta in Sanskrit. (Chitra  = image, + gupta = hidden).

So, stay alert! Never think that no one saw what you did. Those chitragupta-s are taking snapshots of your every move!!
